Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek gets Packer NFC Championship weekend off to a great start with a free screening of a documentary celebrating loyal Green Bay Packer fans. The film, by Meghan Parkansky, is titled Extreme, Loyal, Victorious. and it guarantees to get everyone’s blood running green and gold! Show up in Fish Creek at 7PM in your personal Packer wardrobe and take part in a pre-film pep rally featuring former Packer Golden Girl, Mary Jane van Duyse Sorgel, who will be on hand to lead a cheer, talk about her time with the Packers, and sign autographs. Don’t miss this celebration of a Wisconsin phenomenon!
Sister Bay’s Poppin’ New Year’s Eve
Celebrate New Year’s Eve on the ice and under the glitter of fireworks in Sister Bay, Door County, Wisconsin on December 31, 2014, at the Teresa K. Hilander Community Ice Rink, 4-9 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at 8 p.m. The rink is open for ice skaters of all ages, and the bonfire will be burning to keep the chill at bay. S’mores ingredients available for purchase to make your own around the fire. Pick-up games are encouraged, and activities for all ages will be available. Food and drinks available for sale by the Top o’ the Thumb Snowmobile Club to raise money for the upkeep of northern Door County snowmobile trails.
A limited supply of figure and hockey skates, helmets and hockey sticks are available for rent; skaters are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
